These 39 mm diameter casino-sized chips are 11.5 grams in weight. They are produced from a composite resin and an insert that gives them the weight and feel of a heavy casino-quality chip. The detail on these chips is great with the ESPN logo. The rich mahogany case holds the chips. This beautiful dark mahogany poker chip case is a deep reddish brown and is very solid. Made of 1/2 inch pieces of solid mahogany wood, this case is very sturdy. The finish on this case is smooth, polished, and lacquered.

Nice poker set for a gift (but not perfect)Review by M. Guillermo, 2010-08-24
I got this as a birthday gift for my fiance, so he can host a boy's night at the house. So far, we've used it to play non-stop one-on-one Texas Hold 'em Poker (great cheap date idea, by the way).
(1) DECK OF CARDS: It includes 2 decks (red and black), but we've only used one so far. After playing a few hours every day for 3-4 days, the black deck is getting worn along the edges. Although it may be normal wear and tear, the protective coating is not as good as other brands. All decks of cards have to be replaced eventually but in my humble opinion, it should last longer than 3 days. I predict that we will have to buy replacement decks of cards in the near future.
(2) The chips feel heavy. We've only opened 1 roll (25 chips) each of the red, white and black chips (not the green or blue yet). A few of the chips do not lay flat, probably due to the extrusion process leaving a "nub" in the center, so it's fun to spin a chip when bored. I'll try to contact the manufacturer to ask for a few replacement chips. Not sure if the quantities were mentioned in the product description:
-6 rolls of red chips (25 chips to 1 roll)
-6 rolls of white chips
-2 rolls of black chips
-2 rolls of blue chips
-4 rolls of green chips
(3) TRAY IN BOX: I really like the nice wooden tray within the box, so it's easy to bring the (heavy) chips to the table without taking the whole box.
(4) WOODEN BOX: The whole presentation of the wooden box is impressive and a nice piece to have on display for guests. I normally prefer silver over brass, but the brass looks classy in this case. I was expecting mahogany reddish wood, but the black tone looks fine.
(5) KEY: The old style locking key is a nice touch but I worry about the day it gets misplaced, so I attached it to the handles with a carabiner. If you lose it and keep it unlocked, you cannot carry the box on it's side without everything getting jumbled inside.
(6) BUTTONS: I like that the set is complete with buttons for the dealer, big blind and small blind. I just wish I could find a nice green felt top for our table.
I would have given it a 5-star, but the deck of cards are not the best quality and will have to be replaced plus some of the chips have defects. As of this moment, it's a few bucks cheaper than what I paid, but it's affordable for a nice gift set to please a poker lover. Overall, I'd buy it again and recommend it to friends and family.

This set is great for the price, and a great gift item. It is a bit heavy, but it's not something to carry around all the time. That's why it's a piece you wanna keep at home and use whenever you have people over to play poker.

I was looking for a real nice set for my boyfriend for his birthday. Truly this set is really nice well made product. The mahogany wood box is really nice there are no mistakes in the wood. The inside of the box has a really nice fealty feel to it. Comes with a neat key to lock it to make it look more fancy. The chips inside are made of a clay based product. They have a real feel to them with the weight. I like the fact that there are 500 piece. The tray is pretty sweet too, it comes out for with easy access. This set comes with the dealer chip, big blind, and little blind which is also helpful. This set also comes with instructions on how to play poker. I was extremely happy with this purchase and the for it price. I am surprised that this set didn't cost more than it did. I saw sets not as nice that cost more than this one. I would buy this product again and would recommend someone who is into poker, and is looking for a nice set it look professional . My boyfriend was really pleased with it as well.
